People will come to therapy at different points in their life for different reasons. For some people, difficult emotions or distress in some form may have developed over a period of time; for others a significant life experience may prompt the need for therapeutic support. Whatever your specific circumstances are, recognising the need for support is a positive step forward. I offer psychological  assessment and therapy to adults (over the age of 18) for the following areas.

Low Mood

Anxiety and worry

Low self esteem

Shame and self-criticism

Coping with loss/bereavement

Relationship difficulties

Traumatic events

Work/life Stress

Loss of meaning and direction

Long-term health conditions including chronic pain and fatigue

Personal growth

I have a particular interest in working with adults who have experienced trauma and have trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) an evidence-based approach for working with trauma. I also have an interest in working with clients who have biracial or multiracial backgrounds.

Please note that I do not provide a crisis service. If you feel you are going through mental health crisis please contact you GP urgently. If you are at risk of harming yourself please make an emergency appointment with your GP, call 999 or attend your nearest A&E. The Samaritans can be contacted on 116 123.
